1.Features of A-PET
About A-PET
A-PET sheet of Teijin is an amorphous sheet made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) that is capable of thermoforming (vacuum forming and compressed air forming). This sheet is widely used as trays for food, containers, and packaging materials for industrial use by making use of the features of material.
Feature
  1. Excellent in formability and fabricability
    • Standard vacuum forming and compressed air forming are applicable.
    • It has printing aptitude.
    • Heat sealing is applicable.
  2. Excellent in transparency and luster
  3. Excellent in chemical resistance
  4. Excellent in burning characteristics
    • Heat generation during burning is small.
    • Toxic combustion gas is not generated.
  5. Excellent in hygiene

 

A-PET resin conforms to the codes and standards of the Food Sanitation Act, Article 10, and the regulations of Ministry of Health and Welfare,Notification No. 370. It also conforms to the voluntary standards of "Japan Hygienic Olefin and Styrene Plastics Association."

Highly Smooth (FUHC Grade)

■Excellent in thickness precision, and suitable for use in patching with a film

■Excellent in chemical resistance

■With adhesion performance equal to PETG

■Resistant to aging deterioration in terms of adhesion

■Excellent in heat resistance compared with standard A-PET

(Heating shrinkage at 80℃ for 30 min: 0.8% or below. *Measurement is impossible for standard A-PET due to the generation of extreme degree of wrinkles.)
