Tokyo, Japan, November 21, 2018 --- Teijin Frontier Co., Ltd., the Teijin Group's fiber and products converting company, announced today that it will showcase a range of high-performance fabrics at Performance Days, a show that introduces functional fabrics for sportswear, athleisure, corporatewear and workwear. The show will take place at Messe Munchen in Munich, Germany on November 28 and 29. This will mark Teijin Frontier’s ninth appearance at the event.
The Teijin Frontier stand (No. I10) will showcase hybrid materials with a focus on DELTAPEAK series that offer excellent combinations of performance, appearance and texture for sportswear.
Specific exhibits will include the following:
DELTAPEAK®
Teijin Frontier’s next-generation fabric offers a well-balanced combination of softness, durability, elasticity, ultraviolet protection and anti-transparency. Wind-blocking properties can be added utilizing its dense, flat-knit surface.
4-dimensional bulky DELTAPEAK®
This new sweat-suit fabric is the new addition to the DELTAPEAK series. It offers a soft texture, high-bulkiness and lightweight due to its unique four-layer structure. The booth will showcase a new DELTAPEAK line—a two-in-one sweat-suit fabric that combines water-repelling and sweat-absorbing properties.
OCTA®
This fiber features a unique, highly modified cross section of eight projecting fins aligned in a radial pattern around a hollow fiber. Notable advantages include rapid wicking and drying as well as useful bulkiness. Another type of OCTA is a comfort material integrated with insulation and lining.
Fluorocarbon-free water-repellent materials
Fluorocarbon, a halocarbon in which certain hydrogen atoms are replaced with fluorine, is a greenhouse gas targeted under the Kyoto Protocol. Fluorine buildup is thought to be harmful to the human body and the environment. Teijin Frontier develops durable and water-repellent fluorocarbon-free materials as part of its commitment to environmental protection.
SOLOTEX®
Teijin Frontier’s polytrimethylene terephthalate fiber is highly soft, stretchable, shape retaining and durable. As a partially bio-derived material, it also helps to conserve fossil resources.
