Teijin Frontier to Exhibit at Performance Days Fabric Fair

Tokyo, Japan, November 8, 2016 --- Teijin Frontier Co., Ltd., the Teijin Group's fiber-product converting company, announced today that it will showcase a range of high-performance fabrics for sports and daily use at Performance Days, a show presenting functional fabrics for sports and work. The show will take place at MTC World of Fashion in Munich, Germany on November 16 and 17. This will mark Teijin Frontier's seventh appearance at the event.

The Teijin Frontier stand (no. 112) will showcase products that combine high performance and comfort to meet diverse demands for sports and daily wear. Teijin Frontier looks forward to developing new customers and improving awareness of its materials through participation in this show.

Specific exhibits will include the following:

DELTAPEAK®
Teijin Frontier’s next-generation fabric offers a well-balanced combination of softness, durability, elasticity, ultraviolet protection and anti-transparency. Wind-blocking properties can be added utilizing its dense, flat-knit surface. Nylon-based DELTAPEAK also has outstanding abrasion resistance.

Octa
This polyester fiber has a unique, highly modified cross-section with eight projections aligned in a radial pattern around a hollow fiber. Notable advantages include rapid wicking and drying, and useful bulkiness. Octa Neo is a multilayer fiber that combines Octa fiber with various chemical and natural staple fibers.

ECO STORM
This lightweight, high-performance material, both waterproof and breathable, is made from recycled polyester and laminated with a thin but highly durable polyester film.

Fluorocarbon-free water-repellent materials
Fluorocarbon, a halocarbon in which certain hydrogen atoms are replaced with fluorine, is a greenhouse gas targeted under the Kyoto Protocol. Fluorine buildup is thought to be harmful to the human body and the environment. Teijin Frontier is offering fluorocarbon-free and stable production materials as well as water-repellent and soft feeling owing to its optimum water-repelling processing method and dyeing technique.

SOLOTEX®
Teijin Frontier’s polytrimethylene terephthalate fiber is highly soft, stretchable, shape retaining and durable. As a partially bio-derived material, it also helps to conserve fossil resources.
