Tokyo, Japan, July26, 2016 --- Teijin Frontier Co., Ltd., the Teijin Group’s fiber products converting company, announced today that it would exhibit a wide range of functional materials for sports and outdoor wear during Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2016, the world’s largest international trade fair of its kind. The fair will take place at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, U.S.A. from August 3 to 6.
The Teijin Frontier stand (#MR150C) will showcase highly functional fabric materials that offer excellent combinations of performance, appearance and texture for sports and outdoor use. The stand also will promote Teijin Frontier’s environmental initiative, THINK ECO, for environmentally friendly solutions that conserve fossil resources and reduce CO2 emissions.
Some of the many exhibits at the Teijin Frontier stand will include the following:
Next-generation fabric DELTAPEAK integrates physical properties, functionality and quality on a highly advanced level. Soft, durable and stretchable, it also offers ultraviolet protection, anti-transparency and snag resistance due to its dense, flat-knit surface. The display will showcase extra-functional DELTAPEAK nylon materials made with special processing technology adapted from polyester. Several varieties of DELTAPEAK will also be presented, including a three-dimensional woven version and new coarse- and glossy-grandrelle textures.
This is a multilayer sheath-core fiber that combines Octa hollow, eight-fin polyester fibers at its core and other chemical or natural-staple fibers in the sheath. In addition to the bulkiness and moisture management of Octa, it can offer a versatile range of other properties or textures based on the fibers chosen for its sheath.
High-tenacity PASMO polyester achieves superior comfort and body support with a tensile strength that is 1.5 times greater than that of conventional materials.
The Teijin Frontier stand also will exhibit partially bio-derived polytrimethylene terephthalate fibers, such as SOLOTEX, which is exceptionally soft, stretchable, shape-retaining and durable.
Going forward, Teijin will continue to expand its presence in the North American outdoor market, including through this 15th appearance at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2016.
