Teijin to Participate in China International Exhibition of Senior Care, Rehabilitation Medicine and Healthcare 2016

Tokyo, Japan, June 1, 2016 --- Teijin Limited announced today that it will participate in the China International Exbition of Senior Care, Rehabilitation Medicine and Healthcare (CHINA AID) 2016 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from June 8 to 10.

CHINA AID is one of the country’s largest welfare and rehabilitation trade fairs. This will be Teijin’s first participation in the exhibition, which last year hosted 300 participating companies and more than 30,000 visitors.

Teijin, seeking to improve the quality of life of the elderly, will exhibit at its booth (No. W5D42) the bedding, care and disaster-preventing products that offer more comfort and safety.

Products to be exhibited will include:

elk®
A lightweight, breathable and durable polyester cushioning material that can be used in place of urethane. It derives strength and resilience from its three-dimensional structure.

FASTENANO™
A hook and loop fastener made by pile fabric NANOFRONT, an ultra-fine nanofiber. It is gentle on the skin, and there is no audible sound when fastening or unfastening.

Flame-retardant fabric
A material made of a combination of Teijin’s heat-resistant aramid fiber and Kaneka Corporation’s acrylic synthetic fiber with fire extinguishing capabilities. If it catches fire, the curtain carbonizes and prevents the fire from spreading.

MICROGUARD®
Plain weave texture with ultrafine microfiber. Owing to its high density, MICROGUARD protects against mites and dust, without the need for chemical treatment.

Teijin looks forward to expanding its presence in the China welfare market through its participation in the China International Exhibition of Senior Care, Rehabilitation Medicine and Healthcare 2016.
