Teijin Group to Exhibit at Techtextil
Tokyo, Japan, April 21, 2015 --- The Teijin Group, a world-leading supplier of high-performance fibers, announced today that Teijin Limited and its Dutch subsidiary Teijin Aramid BV will exhibit at Techtextil, an international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens to be held at Messe Frankfurt in Frankfurt, Germany from May 4 to 7.
The Teijin booth (hall 4.1, stand E09) will unveil Teijinconex neo, a new meta-aramid fiber for the European market. Teijinconex neo achieves unsurpassed heat resistance, excellent dyeability and environmental compliance for diverse solutions suited to protective clothing.
The Teijin booth will also present high-performance solutions incorporating various proprietary materials, including Twaron, Technora and Teijinconex aramid fibers for protective clothing and reinforcement applications, Endumax ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene tape for bullet-resistant plate and reinforcement applications, polyester materials, such as elk lightweight urethane-alternative cushioning, Nanofront high-strength, ultra-fine nanofiber for consumer and industrial purposes, and Tepyrus ultra-fine short-cut fiber.
High-performance composite materials that offer new value are one of the four business pillars in the Transformation and Growth Strategies of Teijin’s current medium-term business plan. Promising fields for Teijin’s high-performance fibers include safety, infrastructure and energy, functional paper and filters, and mobility.
