Tokyo, Japan, March 4, 2014 --- The Teijin Group announced today that it will showcase a diverse range of environmental products and solutions at the Eco-products International Fair (EPIF), Asia's largest environmental show, which will take place at Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) Exhibition Hall, Taiwan, from March 13 to 16.
Teijin’s exhibits will specially focus on products and solutions for resource efficiency, including the cyclic use of petroleum and water, the development or penetration of bioplastics made of biomass which regenerate annually and capture CO2 while growing:
ECO CIRCLE: the world’s first closed-loop recycling system, developed by the Teijin group, which turns used polyester into new fibers that offer the purity and quality of petroleum-derived fibers.
ECO CIRCLE Plantfiber: a fiber product that uses biomass-derived material instead of certain PET constituents but offers the same properties and quality of petroleum- derived PET.
BIOFRONT: a biomaterial offering much higher heat resistance and moldability than conventional bioplastics and strong resistance to hydrolysis.
PLANEXT: an eco-friendly bio-polycarbonate resin made with bio-content based on isosorbide from corn and other plants, offering excellent transparency, chemical resistance, scratch resistance and durability.
MSABP: an eco-friendly bio-polycarbonate resin made with bio-content based on isosorbide from corn and other plants, offering excellent transparency, chemical resistance, scratch resistance and durability.
Teijin will exhibit these and other products and solutions as part of a plan to expand its presence and business in the eco-markets of Taiwan and the rest of Asia.
